Copper beech in spring

w copper beech leaves

My outdoor exercise is often limited to a walk round the block and, although I’m grateful that I can get out, I do get bit bored with the same old sights. And then I get lucky and catch the sun lighting up the fresh young leaves on a dipping branch of the copper beech. There are always new sights to see, if you take the time to notice them.

Thanks Alison šŸ™‚ I think it’s the green background that makes the picture, but I hadn’t twigged that it’s the colour of tarnish. Maybe because I knew it was dirty old paint, so my imagination wasn’t engaged. I love hearing what other people see in an image – we interpret things very differently when they are seen out of context.
